Alex has particular experience in acting for clients in estate litigation cases involving wills where there are issues of lack of testamentary capacity and undue influence, applications under the Family Protection Act 1955, the Property (Relationships) Act 1976, the Administration Act 1969 and the Trusts Act 2019 (including applications for the removal of administrators and trustees and the grant of letters of administration to others interested in the estate).
Alex also has expertise in dealing with applications under the Wills Act 2007 in relation to the validation of wills that have not been properly executed, the Testamentary Promises Act and the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 including applications to the Court for the appointment of property managers for the execution of new wills by managers on behalf of persons lacking the capacity to do so.
